The 20 Minute Migraine Cureby Marisa Broughton, MCHT Bruce gets excruciating migraine headaches. Recently during a visit, he felt the beginning of "a real banger!" I asked him, "How do you know when your migraine is ending?" He sat back and thought about it and as he was doing that, I asked him to bring up that same feeling, the feeling that he gets when the migraine is ending. After a few moments, he told me that he feels a wave of pressure releasing from his head. A euphoric-like feeling follows. I had him think about the on-coming migraine and then fast-forward to the end of the migraine and fully recreate the feeling of relief as it disappeared. It worked! He did lose partial vision in one eye, which we managed to restore by tapping lightly on the center of the bottom eye bone. Now, I'm not sure this will work for everyone - however it's worth a try. Most migraine sufferers can tell when a migraine is coming on and I suspect, like Bruce, they also can tell when it's leaving. Have that person take note of where they are right now in their migraine cycle and then have them imagine pressing a fast forward button, imagine the feeling the cycle of the migraine speed up, moving quicker and quicker - like a climax building - until they reach the end and then feel the wave of relief as the migraine ends. Note: You may have to repeat the process a few times until success. Option 2: Have the person "imagine" the pressure being released from their brain. Perhaps even have them visualize a turning a pressure valve and imagine steam escaping as the pressure is released. Next have them imagine a cool wave of blue energy washing down over them. Constricted blood vessels opening and allowing the flow of blood to return to normal. If they can't remember the relief they feel when the migraine is over, have them imagine what it will feel like when the migraine is long gone. |
