What does the word "Ayrmetes" mean?

Ayrmetes means "Hermit"

Specifically it modified spelling of the English transliteration from the Greek word (ereemeetees).  It's pronounced "air-meet-eze".

What does your company do?

Ayrmetes is a wholesale/retail and consulting company. Our focus is on the mind. Our specialization is on making available tools and techniques which aid in the improvement of the the mind.

Brief Biography - Company Director: Marisa Broughton

Marisa Broughton is a Certified Master Practitioner in both NLP and Hypnosis. She completed her NLP training in 2000 at the Canadian Training Centres and in early 2003, she completed her hypnosis training (with Advanced Standing) at the Excel Centre – Hypnotherapy Training College.

Previous to her NLP and Hypnotherapy training, Marisa attended Athabasca University where she studied Business Administration (specialty: Organizational Behavior).

In 1997, Marisa created "Ayrmetes", where she honed her skills in publishing, public speaking & training in the areas of Crime Prevention and Security. In 2000, after taking her NLP training, she decided to turn her attention to counseling and coaching individuals – which she did for the following three years.

The final transition to the company occurred in 2003, when Marisa began working closely with the MindPlace Company (formally known as Synetic Systems), an innovative company out of Seattle. In the middle of 2003, Marisa began phasing out the  counseling/coaching portion of her company, Ayrmetes became Ayrmetes Advanced Cognitive Technologies and then 2004, Marisa became the Canadian Distributor for The MindPlace Company.

Prior to her work in NLP & Hypnosis, Marisa concentrated on publishing and public speaking primarily in the Security & Crime Prevention Field. Marisa has been associated with many professional organizations such as: Academy of Behavioral Profiling, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, American Society of Industrial Security, International Foundation for Protection Officers, Calgary Youth Justice Society and served on the board for the Alberta Community Crime Prevention Association.
